MIDTOWN BID bottle artwork

This project was a commission to design a flask artwork for MIDTOWN BID that reflected the business improvement district's core values of commerce, sustainability and community, as well as the Midtown area's cultural, environmental and economic diversity. The winning design features an illustration of cartoons intended to reflect city life. The characterful illustration depicts anthropomorphised cartoon versions of iconic landmarks in the Clerkenwell, Holborn and general ‘Midtown’ area, as well as more general references to commerce, transport and city life.

The colourful and detailed design captures attention from a distance, and invites an audience of Midtowners to pick up the flask and inspect it up close, at which point they can pick up the references to city life as well as nods to Midtown’s proud sustainable development achievements such as the BEE WILD and Cycle Vault initiatives.
